Road Accident Rescue (Vehicle Extrication)
The Overview:
The participants gain the skills required to be a team member in vehicle extrication. The course deals with the management of vehicle accidents and the care of victims. The vehicle type includes passenger vehicles and heavy earth moving equipment on mine sites.
The participants will be required to assess the scene to determine and control all hazards and safely extricate and treat the victims. The skills gained will include fire fighting, stabilisation, control of the incident site, extrication and trauma management.
