Papua New Guinea Rescue Personnel Train at HVMRS

Hunter Valley Mines Rescue has conducted a 2 week intensive training course for 2 mines rescue personnel from Barrick / Porgera joint venture located in Enga province in the highlands of Papua New Guinea.

During the 2 week course Peter  and Moses received intensive training on many facets of mines rescue work.

They were exposed to a wide variety of equipment and situations designed to test their knowledge and skills in which they excelled in achieving a positive result on all occasions. They were enthusiastic to work extremely hard and often asked if they could repeat exercises after completion to gain extra experience.

During the second week of their training they were integrated into our mines rescue brigade teams as part of our brigades normal training schedule and showed they were capable of handling any situation they were presented with.
