This course is designed to incorporate three levels of fire fighting training.

Fire Team Member:
Gives trainees a basic understanding of fire theory, fire
fighting equipment and operating procedures needed to work within a fire team.

Fire Team Leader:
Gives the fire team member the leadership skills and
legislative information to act either as a team leader or fire officer .

Fire Officer:
Covers the Underground specific duties and legislative
requirements for Fire Officers

On successful completion of this course you will gain 2 nationally accredited competencies:

  •  MNCG1005A - Conduct Fire Team Operations

  •  PUADEFEO201A - Respond to Fire

This course also satisfies the requirements for accreditation for Fire Officer as per:

The course is conducted over four consecutive days at either the Hunter Valley Mines Rescue Station or a venue of your choice.
