Mines Rescue Service - NSW has almost 90 years’ experience, assisting the mining industry to manage risk and operate safely. We enjoy the highest reputation in the mining industry.
Mines Rescue’s primary role is to provide underground incident response, an area where we excel, as a result of harnessing the expertise of decades of experience.
We also play a pivotal role in training to ensure the highest quality standards.
These training packages have been developed by emergency response professionals with national qualifications in;
- course development
- training and assessment
- underground and surface mining
Long term practical experience in underground and surface mining:
- response and emergency preparedness
- mines rescue training.
Mines Rescue Service - NSW has four (4) Rescue Stations within the coalfields of NSW, located in:
- Newcastle
- Wollongong
- Lithgow
- Singleton
