Undertake Road Accident Rescue

The Undertake Road Accident Rescue course includes nationally accredited training in extrication from light vehicles.

This course is very practical oriented with participants spending a significant amount of time using tools and techniques in scenario based training sessions to allow them to get to know what type of situations they may need to deal with and techniques they may employ to deal with them.

Very experienced guest presenters are regularly used on these courses to give an insight into what to expect in a "Real life situation".

The competencies covered are:
PUATEA001A Work in a Team
PUASAR001A Participate in Rescue Operations
PUASAR002A Undertake Road Accident Rescue

These Competencies form partial completion of Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations) PUA30601

The course is conducted over 40 hours at the HVMRS. This course can be tailored to suit the customers requirements on a site of their choice.

This course give the rescue operator the skills to work within a team and be competent in:

Personal and team safety

Scene assessment & safety

Hydraulic & Pneumatic rescue tools

Stabilisation techniques

Extrication techniques

A recognised First Aid qualification is a pre requisite for this course
